corny first blog jitters

First post!
wow i have officially entered the cyberuniverse, strange
for some reason the idea of this blog is now more daunting than it should be..
oh well here goes nothing
when starting a blog is it necessary to sort of have a goal for where you want your blog to go or should it be like most everything else on the internet and surf i.e. go with the flow...
all questions aside, i have officially unlocked my blogchasitybelt
